Forged Carbon fiber is not a specific material but a technology developed by Lamborghini to create particular carbon fiber parts for luxury sports cars. The process allows the creation of 3D-shaped objects through a molding and curing process. The carbon fiber is sandwiched between resin layers by applying heat and pressure. This combination of pressure and heat gives it the name “forged.” Finally, we complete this process by using a composite autoclave.

In composite technology, autoclaves are pressure vessels that process parts and materials that require exposure to elevated pressure and temperature for curing. The pressure is necessary to reach a sufficient fiber content level and reduce the composites’ residual porosity.

We are using prepreg fibers. Pre-preg is “pre-impregnated” with the epoxy resin (at a perfect ratio). The benefits of using Pre-preg:·

  • Bettercosmetics· Less mess and less waste
  • Maximum strength properties
  • Less curing time

Strontium aluminate is the material that makes the jewelry glow in the dark. The same material is used in luxury watches. The jewelry glows extremely bright after exposure to either UV light or sunlight. For the best glow experience, We use green and aqua-blue colors.

When charged for 8-17 seconds with a strong UV flashlight, all jewelry should glow brightly for several minutes, followed by an afterglow that lasts 2-8 hours. The next best option is sunlight, though it takes a little longer to charge the jewelry thoroughly.

Currently, we do not offer engravings.

No problems! If your jewelry doesn’t fit perfectly, please email us.

2 YEAR WARRANTY

Under our warranty, we’ve got your back. This means that for 2 years from the date of purchase, we’ll take care of your product if any damage to the material or the workmanship of the jewelry occurs. Just contact us and we’ll work together to find a resolution.

We work hard to create handcrafted, responsibly sourced pieces that are made to last. We’re confident in the quality of our product hence the 2-year coverage. This also means that the warranty does not cover lost items, scratches that come with normal wear and tear (like a bent ring or broken chain), improper use or storage of your product, and any modification to your product done by a third party outside of Kartiel.

Important

1. Items purchased through a third-party vendor (outside of Kartiel.com and Kartiel stores) are not covered under Kartiel’s warranty. Please reach out to the company the items were purchased from.

2. We do not recommend having our products worked on by outside jewelers as this voids any potential for refund or replacement (should a defect develop due to their work). This includes resizing or any repair work. Although we do not offer any repair or resizing service, if your Kartiel piece is defective and covered under the warranty, please
contact us with your order number and a photograph of the faulty part.

GOLD & SILVER

We use 24K gold which is 100% gold in its purest form. Unlike the most commonly used 14 K and 18K which are composed of (58.3% gold and 41.7% alloy) and (75% gold and 25% alloy). Since 100% gold (24k gold) is very soft, it can bend easily and be stretched so we use gold sheets and combine them with powder alloy to increase durability while not mixing the two. With that, we keep the 24k gold intact and increase the bondage between the forged carbon fiber and gold. The result is a bit more grainy look with sheets of 100% pure karat gold.

We repeat this process also with silver so we keep it as pure as possible. Contrary to sterling silver which is most commonly used and consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper.
